One Potato Yuzu Soy Dipping Sauce
A perfectly balanced citrus-soy dipping sauce and glaze - incredibly versatile!
Welcome, One Potato family!
Dipping sauces have long been an integral part of culinary traditions around the world, adding an extra layer of flavor and excitement to meals. At One Potato, we are a fan of dipping sauces to add an extra kick to meal time while allowing kids to safely try new flavors, encouraging them to dip their food into the sauce, putting them in the flavor driving seat by adding flavor and creating a customizable eating experience.
This special One Potato sauce recipe is our yummy Yuzu Soy Dipping Sauce (the yummy was added by the kids). This recipe calls for only six ingredients, marrying yuzu and soy sauce to create a dipping sauce that is both tangy and savory, and perfect for enhancing the flavors of our One Potato Salmon Rice Bowl, dumplings, grilled meats, and vegetables.
What is yuzu? Yuzu is a highly prized fruit in East Asian cuisine. It is a small and aromatic citrus fruit, renowned for its complex flavor profile, which can be described as a blend of grapefruit, lemon, and mandarin orange. Unlike other citrus fruits, yuzu has a distinct tartness and a fragrant zest that make it a sought-after ingredient for adding a refreshing twist to various dishes. This One Potato special dipping sauce recipe combines the rich umami depth of soy sauce with the bright, citrusy notes of yuzu.
Here’s our recipe to make a total of 3 ½ cups, enough to store the extra in the fridge for up to two weeks.
